Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply
Are you confident managing classrooms and ensuring pupils remain engaged in their learning?
GSL Education are working with schools in Barnsley (S70, S71) to recruit a reliable Cover Supervisor to maintain continuity during teacher absences.
In this role, the Cover Supervisor (CS) will oversee pre-prepared lessons, manage behaviour, and create a focused and positive learning environment for pupils.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes using prepared lesson plans.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and well-managed classroom.
- Support pupils with their work and respond to basic queries.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Report any concerns or issues to senior staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and school procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
