Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are searching for passionate and dedicated History Teachers to work in forward-thinking schools in Sheffield (S2, S3).
As a History Teacher, you will inspire students to explore historical events, think critically about the past, and develop analytical and research skills. You will create engaging lessons that foster curiosity, discussion, and a deep understanding of history.
Responsibilities of the History Teacher:
- Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons covering key historical periods, themes, and skills.
- Encourage Critical Thinking: Inspire students to analyse historical sources, evaluate perspectives, and draw informed conclusions.
- Assess Student Progress: Monitor performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
- Support Individual Needs: Adapt lessons to meet the varying abilities and learning styles of students.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with fellow teachers to develop and refine the history curriculum.
- Promote Engagement: Foster a love for history through interactive activities, discussions, and research projects.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: QTS or PGCE is essential. A relevant degree in History, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching Skills: Ability to deliver engaging and effective history lessons.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Organisational Skills: Strong planning and classroom management abilities.
- Passion for Teaching: Enthusiasm for inspiring students in history.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
- DBS: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
