Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistants
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time/ Part-time, Long Term/ Day-to-day

Are you a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in a supportive school setting in Dinnington (S25). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities of the SEMH TA:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements for the SEMH TA role:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education
