Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)

Are you a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in Dinnington (S25)?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Dinnington (S25). This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist class teachers with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support pupils’ learning and development in a variety of subjects and activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion within the classroom.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and social needs of pupils to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Requirements for the SEN TA role:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role supporting students with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • Knowledge of SEND strategies and behaviour management techniques.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
