Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S13)
Pay rate: £460 -£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Can you manage a classroom effectively while keeping pupils engaged in their learning.
GSL Education are recruiting a reliable Cover Supervisor to maintain continuity during teacher absences. The role is based within partner schools across Sheffield, supporting pupils in the S13 postal district and surrounding areas.
In this role, the Cover Supervisor (CS) will oversee pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and create a calm environment where pupils can focus and complete their work.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes using prepared lesson plans.
- Maintain a positive, focused, and well-managed classroom.
- Support pupils with their work and answer basic queries.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Report any concerns or issues to senior staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role.
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and school procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
