About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes, maintaining behaviour standards, and supporting students’ learning in the absence of their regular teacher. You will play a key role in providing a consistent and structured learning experience while fostering engagement and participation.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and ensure students remain on task during lessons.
- Maintain classroom behaviour, following school policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery of pre-prepared lesson materials.
- Assist students with learning activities and clarify instructions when needed.
- Monitor student engagement, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and any incidents.
- Adapt to the needs of different classes and age groups as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
- Good understanding of classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students across multiple year groups.
- Organised, reliable, and adaptable to changing daily schedules.
