Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WF4
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to students, helping them engage with lessons, develop skills, and achieve their potential. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities:
• Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities adapted for students with SEN
• Implement personalised strategies and interventions to meet students’ individual needs
• Assist students with learning, communication, and social interaction
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers as appropriate
• Provide support for personal care, where required, following school policy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support

Qualifications:
• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting is preferred
• Understanding of special educational needs and evidence-based support strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students
• A compassionate, patient, and positive approach to supporting learners
