Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £460 – £650 per week

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and follow the lesson plans provided. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting students’ engagement throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise whole classes during short-term or long-term teacher absences, ensuring a positive learning environment
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students understand the tasks set
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
• Support students with their learning and respond appropriately to questions
• Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to relevant staff
• Adapt confidently to different subjects, year groups, and school settings

Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm, organised, and confident in a classroom setting
• A flexible and professional approach to working across different schools
• A positive attitude and commitment to supporting students’ learning
