Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted support to students with additional needs. You will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum, develop key life skills, and engage positively in school life.

Responsibilities:
• Support students with special educational needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis, adapting support to individual learning plans.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation strategies.
• Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with personal care, where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Monitor and record student progress, sharing feedback with teaching staff.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
• Understanding of SEN needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
