Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Can you provide individualised support that helps pupils thrive in their learning environment.
GSL Education are working with schools across Sheffield (S2, S3) to recruit a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a personalised basis.
In this role, the 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with a specific pupil, adapting support to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs while promoting confidence and independence.
Key Duties:
- Provide tailored one-to-one support within the classroom.
- Assist with learning activities and adapt resources where needed.
- Support emotional regulation, engagement, and communication.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN teams.
- Monitor progress and report observations to relevant staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
