Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Ignite curiosity in the classroom by guiding pupils to uncover the lessons of history with confidence and insight.
Schools in Rotherham and GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that bring the past to life. The role covers schools across the S65 and S66 areas.
As a History Teacher, you will teach lessons that build analytical skills, deepen historical knowledge, and foster appreciation of diverse perspectives, while encouraging pupils to think critically, engage in thoughtful discussion, and connect the past to the present.
Key Duties:
- Deliver well-structured history lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and engagement with historical topics.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider learning objectives.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a History Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
