Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are working with schools in Rotherham (S65, S66) to appoint a dedicated Design Technology Teacher who can deliver engaging and creative lessons that build both technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

In this role, the Design Technology (DT) Teacher will plan and teach lessons covering a range of practical and theoretical skills, encouraging pupils to explore design, materials, and manufacturing processes while fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Mian Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured design technology lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Inspire creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom and workshop environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support wider school projects and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or another accredited teaching credential.
  • Experience working as a Design Technology Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
