Job Title: RE Teacher

Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)

Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Are you an enthusiastic and reflective RE Teacher with a passion for inspiring pupils to explore beliefs, values, and ethical issues? GSL Education are seeking a committed Religious Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham (S65, S66).

As an RE Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, respect, and cultural awareness. This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs, or overseas-trained teachers who are dedicated to delivering high-quality Religious Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages.
  • Encourage discussion, reflection, and respectful debate in the classroom.
  • Assess and monitor students progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
  • Promote inclusive learning and positive behaviour.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
  • Experience teaching RE within a UK or similar curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A thoughtful, inclusive, and student-centred approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
