Job Title: PE Support

Location: Wakefield (WF4)

Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking motivated PE Support staff to work within a supportive school environment in Wakefield WF4.

As Physical Education Support, you will assist PE teachers in delivering high-quality physical education lessons, supporting pupils of varying abilities, and promoting teamwork, fitness, and confidence. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in sports coaching, youth work, or physical activity who are keen to make a positive impact in education.

Key Responsibilities of the PE Support:

  • Support the delivery of PE lessons and physical activities across the school.
  • Assist with setting up and organising sports equipment and resources.
  • Encourage pupil participation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils individually or in small groups during PE sessions.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Assist with extracurricular sports clubs and school events.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience in PE support, sports coaching, or a similar role.
  • A positive, energetic, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confidence working with children and young people.
  • A passion for sport and physical wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
