Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support pupils with additional needs in unlocking their full potential.
GSL Education are recruiting an SEN Teacher to deliver tailored, inclusive learning across specialist and mainstream settings. Working with schools in Wakefield (WF4), this role supports pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
In this role, the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher will plan and deliver personalised lessons, support individual learning plans, and create a structured, nurturing environment that promotes progress and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Maintain a calm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Track progress and adapt strategies to support outcomes.
- Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a SEN Teacher or within a SEND setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
