Job Title: Pastoral Manager
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are appointing a passionate Pastoral Manager to lead on pastoral care and provide consistent support to pupils across the school community. The role is based in schools throughout Wakefield, serving learners in the WF4 area.
The Pastoral Manager will implement wellbeing strategies, manage pastoral systems, and work with staff, families, and external agencies. The role centres on promoting positive behaviour, improving attendance, and building students’ emotional resilience.
What the Position Involves:
- Lead and coordinate pastoral support across the school.
- Support pupils with wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance concerns.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SEN (Special Educational Needs) teams, and safeguarding leads.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and external services.
- Monitor and record pastoral interventions and outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Pastoral Manager or in a similar pastoral or safeguarding role.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A calm, empathetic, and professional approach to student support.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
