Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Help pupils grow in confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour within a supportive school setting.

GSL Education are currently seeking committed Behaviour Support Staff to work in schools across Wakefield (WF4), providing targeted support to pupils who need guidance with behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing.

As Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis, helping them manage emotions, improve behaviour, and access learning effectively.

Key Duties:  

  • Provide consistent and tailored behavioural support to pupils as Behaviour Support Staff.
  • Implement behaviour strategies and interventions in line with school policies.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN (Special Educational Needs) staff, and pastoral teams

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
