Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WF4
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills. This position offers the chance to contribute to students’ learning, emotional growth, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
• Support individual and small groups of students with SEN in line with their personalised plans.
• Assist teaching staff in implementing lesson plans and activities tailored to students’ needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills among students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
• Assist with personal care and ensure students’ dignity and safety at all times.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support.
• Use effective communication strategies to engage students and facilitate learning.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and evidence-based support approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learners.
