About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that engage students, improve literacy skills, and support academic progression. You will create a positive and structured learning environment, encouraging participation, critical thinking, and a genuine interest in English.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons suitable for varying student abilities.
• Support students’ literacy development, comprehension, and writing skills.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective strategies and share best practice.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience.
• Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3/4 preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment.
• Flexible, creative, and adaptable approach to lesson planning and teaching.
