Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted support to students who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance. You will help create a safe learning environment and support students both academically and emotionally throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Build trusting relationships to support student engagement and progress
- Support classroom management and daily routines
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional support techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
