Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are appointing an enthusiastic History Teacher to deliver lessons that build students’ analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. The role is based in schools across Sheffield, supporting learners within the S11 area.

As a History Teacher, you will guide pupils through key historical periods, encourage enquiry and discussion, and foster a curiosity about human stories and societal change.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating history lessons across a range of topics.
  • Support pupils in developing analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback as a History Teacher.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach confidently.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
