Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to deliver lessons that combine creativity, problem-solving, and technical knowledge for schools across Sheffield (S11).


Shaping Young Innovators as a DT Teacher

  • Teach Design Technology across key stages with clarity and energy
  • Guide students through design, making, and evaluating projects
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills
  • Promote safe and effective use of tools and materials

Your Role in the Workshop

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned DT lessons
  • Adapt teaching to support students of varying abilities
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring workshop/classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop projects and resources

What kind of DT Teacher We are hoping to find

  • Qualified DT Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching DT in a secondary school
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills
  • Passionate about creativity, innovation, and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
