Computer Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a forward-thinking Computer Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons in computing, programming, and digital problem-solving for schools in Barnsley (S70, S71).


Shaping Digital Thinkers

  • Teach Computer Science across key stages with clarity and enthusiasm
  • Introduce programming, algorithms, and computational thinking
  • Encourage logical reasoning and independent problem-solving
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge

What Your Classroom Looks Like as a CS Teacher

  • Plan and deliver structured, engaging Computer Science lessons
  • Adapt teaching to suit different abilities and learning styles
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a focused, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the computing department

Who This CS Teacher Role Is For

  • Qualified CS Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Computer Science in a school
  • Confident with programming concepts and digital tools
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
