Job Title: Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
Location: Dinnington (S25 - within 5 miles and upto 8 miles)
Pay rate: £98-£108 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time (5 days per week)

GSL Education are hiring SEMH Teaching Assistants to work within schools situated throughout Dinnington, providing targeted support and positive guidance.
In this role, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistants (SEMH TA) will work with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupils individually or in small groups, fostering emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement with learning.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist with classroom activities and adapt resources as required.
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation, communication, and social skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress.
- Help create a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as SEMH Teaching Assistants or in a similar support role.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
