Job Title: Behaviour mentor
Location: Dinnington (S25 2NF - within 5 miles)
Pay rate: £97-£108 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to overcome behavioural challenges?

GSL Education are working with schools in Dinnington (S25 2NF) to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with behaviour and engagement through positive role modelling. Applications are welcomed from support workers and care assistants with residential childcare experience.

As Behaviour Mentor, you will guide pupils individually or in small groups to develop confidence, self‑control, and constructive learning habits within a structured environment.

What the Position Involves:

  • Provide targeted behavioural and emotional support to pupils.
  • Act as a positive role model, encouraging positive choices and engagement.
  • Support students’ social and emotional development through mentoring.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to relevant staff.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, support worker, or care assistant in residential childcare or educational settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a calm, consistent approach.
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with young people.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
