Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are hiring a passionate English Teacher to assist schools throughout Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 areas, by delivering motivating and accessible lessons across the curriculum.

In this role, the English Teacher will deliver lessons that build creativity, critical thinking, and language confidence, while supporting pupils of all abilities in a positive, motivating classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured lessons in line with the English curriculum.
  • Support pupils in developing literacy, comprehension, and analytical skills.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an English Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
