Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply

Schools across Barnsley, particularly within the S70 and S71 postcodes, are appointing a reliable Cover Supervisor to maintain continuity of teaching during staff absences, and GSL Education are facilitating the placement.
In this role, the Cover Supervisor (CS) will supervise classes, deliver pre-set work, and ensure students remain focused and engaged. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive and well-managed learning environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervise classes using lesson plans provided by teachers.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and safe classroom environment.
- Support students with tasks and encourage engagement in learning.
- Monitor behaviour and report any issues to senior staff.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support continuity of learning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role.
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- Effective communication and organisational abilities.
- A professional approach to safeguarding and school procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
