Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education and schools in Barnsley (S70 and S71) are seeking a passionate Art Teacher to lead lessons that encourage imagination, confidence, and artistic skill. This role is perfect for someone who loves helping students explore different mediums and find their creative voice.


Your Creative Canvas

  • Teach Art across key stages with enthusiasm and clarity
  • Explore a variety of mediums, techniques, and artistic styles
  • Encourage self-expression, critical thinking, and artistic confidence
  • Promote an appreciation for both practical and theoretical aspects of Art

A Day in the Studio as an Art Teacher

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Art lessons
  • Support students with different abilities and learning styles
  • Provide feedback and encourage artistic growth
  • Maintain a positive, well-organised, and inspiring classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and ideas

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Art Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Art in a secondary school
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passionate about nurturing creativity and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
