Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education and schools across Sheffield (S2 and S3) are looking for an enthusiastic History Teacher to deliver lessons that spark curiosity, develop critical thinking, and inspire meaningful discussion.


History Teacher Role Overview

  • Teach History across key stages with energy and clarity
  • Encourage analytical thinking and historical enquiry
  • Help students make connections between past events and the present
  • Promote discussion, interpretation, and evidence-based reasoning

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
  • Use diverse teaching strategies to meet different learning needs
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a focused, well-managed classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the humanities department

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified History Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Passionate about humanities and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
