Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are hiring an English Teacher to support schools located within the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield, inspiring students through dynamic and purposeful teaching.

In this role, the English Teacher will deliver lessons that develop reading, writing, and spoken language, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and confidence within a positive, inclusive classroom.

Core Role Expectations:

  • Deliver well-structured lessons aligned with the English curriculum.
  • Support pupils in developing literacy, comprehension, and analytical skills.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning atmosphere.
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an English Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
