Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are working closely with schools in Sheffield (S5, S9) to recruit dedicated Behaviour Support Staff who can help create calm, safe, and structured learning environments.

In this role, Behaviour Support Staff will guide pupils in managing behaviour, emotions, and engagement, promoting positive conduct, supporting emotional regulation, and keeping students focused on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted behavioural and emotional support to pupils.
  • Help students develop positive coping strategies and social skills.
  • Support classroom routines and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups where required.
  • Liaise with teachers and pastoral teams to support individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as Behaviour Support Staff or in a similar support role.
  • Calm, consistent, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
