Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Schools across Sheffield (S2, S3) and GSL Education are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that inspire innovation, problem-solving, and technical confidence. What This DT Teacher Role Is About

  • Teaching Design Technology across relevant key stages
  • Delivering practical and theory-based lessons in a safe workshop environment
  • Encouraging creativity, independent thinking, and technical skill development
  • Supporting students to design, make, and evaluate their work effectively

Your Day-to-Day Contribution

  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Manage workshop spaces, tools, and materials responsibly
  • Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities
  • Maintain positive behaviour and high expectations
  • Work collaboratively with department staff

What Schools Are Looking For

  • Qualified DT Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching DT in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills
  • Passion for practical learning and student progression
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
