Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: South Shields
Salary: £84 – £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Shields. This Primary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a primary school setting.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary curriculum and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The school is keen to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant who is caring, proactive, and enthusiastic about making a difference.
The Role of the Primary Teaching Assistant Will Include:

Supporting pupils with their learning in line with the primary national curriculum.

Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities.

Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis as a Primary Teaching Assistant.

Supporting behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons.

Helping to deliver creative and engaging learning activities.

Providing a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care as a Primary Teaching Assistant.
The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will:

Be available to work Monday to Friday.

Have experience in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential).

Be kind, patient, and enthusiastic.

Have strong communication and teamwork skills.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
