Teaching Assistant
Location: South Shields
Salary: £84 – £108 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in South Shields. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone looking to gain valuable school-based experience and make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the curriculum and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The school is keen to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is proactive, caring, and eager to grow within the role.
The Role of the Teaching Assistant Will Include:

Supporting pupils with their learning in line with the national curriculum.

Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities.

Supporting behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons.

Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis when required.

Helping to deliver creative and engaging learning activities.

Providing a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care as a Teaching Assistant.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:

Be available to work Monday to Friday.

Be proactive, kind, and enthusiastic about supporting children.

Have strong communication and teamwork skills.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
