KS1 Teacher

Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time Supply
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Until Easter

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher looking for a short-term teaching opportunity in Dartford? GSL Education Kent are currently supporting a well-regarded primary academy to recruit a committed KS1 Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join their team immediately and work through until the Easter break.

This KS1 Teacher position offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing and well-structured primary school environment that places strong emphasis on high standards, pupil well-being, and inclusive education. As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons that support pupils’ early academic and social development. You will join a collaborative staff team that values creativity, consistency, and high-quality teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality KS1 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
• Carry out full planning, marking, and assessment responsibilities
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and personal development
• Monitor and track pupil progress effectively
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff when required
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications without QTS will not be accepted
• Previous UK classroom teaching experience as a KS1 Teacher
• Confidence with planning, marking, and assessment
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A caring, adaptable, and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
