About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task. This role offers the opportunity to support learning, maintain behaviour standards, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise lessons in line with existing plans and school policies.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Support students’ engagement and behaviour, ensuring expectations are met.
- Follow lesson plans and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Adapt to the needs of different classes and age groups as required.
- Record student attendance, behaviour incidents, and classroom observations accurately.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school environment is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching styles and class needs.
- Professional, patient, and approachable with students and staff.
