Behaviour Support / Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a proactive and compassionate Behaviour Support / Mentor to provide guidance, support, and positive role modelling for pupils who may be struggling with behaviour, emotional wellbeing, or engagement with learning for schools across Sheffield (S2, S3).
The Behaviour Support / Mentor Role
You’ll act as a key point of support for pupils, helping them build confidence, manage behaviour, and develop the skills they need to thrive academically and socially. This is more than just supervision—it’s about mentoring, encouraging, and making a real difference in students’ lives.
Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support / Mentor
- Provide 1:1 or small-group mentoring and behaviour support
- Encourage positive choices and engagement with learning
- Work with pupils to develop coping strategies and resilience
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to monitor progress
- Support transitions, social development, and emotional wellbeing
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges
- A patient, approachable, and resilient attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
