About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will create a positive learning environment that encourages participation, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons across different key stages.
- Support students’ literacy, communication, and analytical skills development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a structured learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop resources.
- Keep accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3/4 preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of different abilities.
- Flexible and creative approach to lesson planning and teaching.
