Job Title: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are welcoming application for an inspiring SEMH Teacher to provide consistent, nurturing, and structured support to learners who need it most, with roles available across schools in Dinnington and the wider S25 area.

As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons that support academic progress and emotional wellbeing, helping students build resilience, self-regulation, and positive relationships within a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet SEMH needs.
  • Support students in managing emotions, behaviour, and engagement in learning.
  • Create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and external professionals.
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to support individual development.

Requirements of SEMH Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and emotional intelligence skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
