Pastoral Manager
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for dedicated Pastoral Managers to play a vital role in guiding pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development for schools in Sheffield (S2, S3).


The Role

As a Pastoral Manager, you will act as a key point of contact for students who require additional support, working closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to ensure every pupil feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.


Key Responsibilities as a Pastoral Manager

  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students
  • Support behaviour management and attendance improvement
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and families
  • Liaise with teachers, SEN teams, and safeguarding leads
  • Monitor wellbeing and contribute to individual support plans

What We Ought to find in a Pastoral Manager

  • Previous experience in a pastoral, mentoring, or student support role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A calm, empathetic, and professional approach
  • Confidence managing challenging situations
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
