Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: £460 – £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education and schools across Sheffield (S2 and S3) are seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors (CS) to provide classroom cover and keep learning on track in the absence of teaching staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and thrives in a fast-paced school environment.
The Role
As a CS, you’ll step into the classroom to supervise pre-set lessons, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities as a CS
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects using provided lesson plans
- Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with tasks and encourage participation
- Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders as needed
What We’re Looking For in a CS
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Confidence, reliability, and flexibility
- A proactive and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
