Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide valuable classroom support and guidance, with opportunities available across schools situated in the S5 and S9 communities of Sheffield.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning, encourage engagement, and help create a positive classroom environment. You will play a key role in ensuring every learner feels supported and motivated.

Main Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist with classroom activities and learning resources to support students.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support where needed.
  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour among learners.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Help maintain an inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting students in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support learners with varying needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
