Drama Teacher
Location: Hackney
Salary: £160–£265 per day
Start Date: 23rd Feb 2026
Contract: Temporary until 27th Mar 2026
GSL Education London Branch are excited to be looking for a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher to join a welcoming and coeducational secondary school in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative Drama Teacher who can inspire students and bring energy, confidence, and imagination into the classroom.
As a Drama Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons that encourage self-expression, teamwork, and performance skills. The school is supportive, well-resourced, and values the impact a strong Drama Teacher can have on student confidence and achievement. Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment as a Drama Teacher

Encourage student participation, creativity, and confidence

Assess student progress and provide clear feedback

Manage classroom behaviour effectively

Work collaboratively with other staff and departments

Support school productions and performance-based activities where required
Requirements:

Qualified Drama Teacher with relevant teaching experience

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Ability to motivate and inspire students of mixed abilities

Good knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
