Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?

GSL Education are currently seeking an experienced and motivated SEN Teacher to work in supportive and inclusive schools across Wakefield (WF4).

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering personalised learning programmes that support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them achieve both academically and socially within a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual SEN needs.
• Support pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis where required.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress effectively.
• Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external professionals.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working as an SEN Teacher or supporting pupils with SEN.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
