Long-Term DT Teacher / Instructor – Leicester (LE5)
Start: After February Half Term | Ongoing
Pay: £168.80 – £232.58 per day (Qualified Teachers, DOE)
GSL Education Leicester is working in partnership with a ‘Good’ rated secondary school in Leicester (LE5) to appoint a Design & Technology Teacher / Instructor for a long-term, ongoing role starting after February half term.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-led school with strong behaviour systems and a welcoming department. The role will involve teaching KS3 Design & Technology and Food Technology, alongside KS4 Product Design, delivering engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and technical skill.
The Role

Teaching KS3 DT and Food Technology

Teaching KS4 DT (Product Design)

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

Maintaining high standards of health & safety within workshops and food rooms

Working collaboratively with a dedicated DT department
The Ideal Candidate
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Has recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 DT, including Food Technology
-
Is confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons
-
Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Holds a clear DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
