Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are recruiting dedicated Behaviour Support Staff to make a positive difference to learners’ engagement and development, with opportunities available across schools situated in the WF4 community of Wakefield.

As Behaviour Support Staff, you will foster positive behaviour, build confidence, and support students’ social and academic progress within a safe, motivating environment.

Main Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Staff:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students needing behavioural guidance.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social skills across the classroom and school.
  • Support students in setting goals, managing challenges, and improving engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement behaviour strategies.
  • Monitor and record progress of interventions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting young people in behaviour management or mentoring roles.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support students with different needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
