About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absence, maintaining a productive and well-managed learning environment, and ensuring students remain on task. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple year groups and subjects.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in accordance with school policies and lesson plans.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage positive behaviour.
- Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Support students with tasks and provide guidance where needed.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to follow lesson plans effectively.
- Record student attendance, behaviour, and engagement accurately.
- Adapt quickly to the needs of different classes and age groups.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school environment is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students across various subjects.
- Flexible, proactive, and confident in managing classes independently.
