Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work directly with students to support their learning, behaviour, and personal development. This is an opportunity to provide meaningful, hands-on assistance and make a real impact on the daily experience of learners with additional needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning and engagement during lessons.
  • Assist with behaviour management and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Implement personalised learning plans and interventions under teacher guidance.
  • Support students with personal care, hygiene, and eating where necessary.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction among students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, compassion, and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
