Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a dedicated Behaviour Support/Mentor who can make a positive difference in the lives of learners, with opportunities available across Wakefield schools situated within the WF4 area.

As a Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will promote positive behaviour, build confidence, and support students’ personal and academic growth within a safe, motivating environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students requiring behavioural guidance.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social skills within the classroom and wider school environment.
  • Support students in setting goals, managing challenges, and improving engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement strategies for learning and behaviour.
  • Maintain records of interventions and monitor student progress.

Requirements of Behaviour Support/Mentor:

  • Previous experience supporting young people in education or mentoring roles.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support students with varying needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
