Health & Social Care Teacher

Alternative Provision School | Tower Hamlets (E1)
Start Date: ASAP

We are working in partnership with an Alternative Provision school based in Tower Hamlets (E1) who are seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

⚠️ This is not a mainstream secondary school.
The successful candidate will be working with students who require additional support due to behavioural, social, or emotional needs. The school provides a nurturing, structured environment with a strong focus on re‑engagement, personal development, and positive outcomes.


The Role

  • Deliver Health & Social Care to small class groups
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs
  • Support pupils with SEMH and complex needs
  • Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model
  • Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care (KS4/KS5 desirable)
  • Experience in Alternative Provision, PRU, SEN, or similar settings is highly desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • QTS preferred, but unqualified teachers with strong AP experience will be considered

  • £200 -£250 per day
